Interlibrary loan

For the users

At most of the University of Turin libraries, users can request to borrow volumes owned by other Italian or foreign libraries.

Books are delivered to the reference library, which promptly notifies the user. The user is also responsible for the material received, undertakes to take care of it, to return it within the deadline and to pay any reimbursement requested.

The time of supply, the availability of the volume for loan or consultation only, the loan period and the type of material (original, paper or digital copy) depend on the specific regulations of the supplying libraries.

Requests should be addressed to the office in charge of the reference library, as defined by the respective regulations on the libraries' websites.

For the libraries
Italian and foreign libraries can request the University of Turin libraries to send volumes needed by their users.
The procedures for providing this service are defined on the websites of the individual libraries.
